I know that our Artist, David Ledesma, particularly enjoyed working on this card's positive vibes, vibrant sunshine, and sunflowers (as above so below!)
Card Meaning
The Sun is a card full of positive vibes and one that links strongly with concepts such as Happiness, Warmth and Life. The strong light signifies the concept of enlightenment and rationality.
When drawn as part of a Yes/No query the Sun is usually a strong positive Yes. However it may be a No if the question relates to something diametrically opposed to the cards correspondences, such as magic, darkness, blindness or death.
Setting Specific Design
There's not much specifically Sabrian going on here. We got carried away with the glorious sunshine.
Mechanical Impact
The card may link to the medieval roles of Architect, Inventor or Scientist or act as a negative thematic qualifier to any magical condition in a reading (although not having a negative numerical impact within the game’s magic system). This negative magical connotation might suggest that a character being created is an Etiole (one of those rare individuals who naturally dampen or negate the effects of magic worked upon them).
When Played the Sun doubles the Face Value of all other cards in the Meld, when used to Heal or Refresh a Character, or to Oppose a Magical Effect.
