Card Meaning
This card represents Hope, Renewal, Endurance and Guidance. The shining star helps navigate you toward your goals. As a result of this association the Star is generally a Yes answer if drawn as part of a Yes/No query. However it may be a no if the query relates to someone continuing to feel despair, or becoming lost.
Setting Specific Design
Within the world of the Collegia Magica the stars forming the vault of heaven are associated with wisdom and guidance. In the older superstitions and traditions of countries beyond Sabria’s borders the ancestors sometimes return from the stars to impart wisdom to their descendants.
Mechanical Impact
The connotations of travel continue into the character generation career links of this card. Sailor, Explorer, Guide or Merchant Adventurer are all relevant Medieval roles that may be linked to this card.
When played this card doubles the Face Value of all other cards in the Meld when used to endure or oppose privation, exposure or torture.
