Card Meaning
This card represents Balance, Moderation and Patience. In a Yes/No query this card is often a neutral “Wait and See” answer, but it may be affirmative if the question is about reducing or ameliorating an effect , or negative if the question is about radical change.
Setting Specific Design
The angel depicted here represents the lore of the Middle Kingdoms, within which angels are dually depicted as either agents of vengeance or guardians and protectors of humanity. Whilst most of the card represent the typical Sabrian, we have chosen to use this angel on this card to provide representation of one ethnic minority present within the Sabrian Kingdom. You can see the same variety of representation in some other major arcana and in a larger way as a way of distinguishing the minor arcana court cards later in the deck.
The card is one of many which feature the Sabrian religious symbol, rather than the more traditional symbology usually seen in Tarot.
Mechanical Impact
When drawn as part of character creation, this card represents the concept of service to others, including (but not limited to) careers like Servants, Cooks, and Inn Keepers.
When Played all other cards played in a Meld containing Temperance are Shuffled back into the character’s Deck. Temperance itself is still Exhausted.
